If you have a booking with us which you believe is affected by the failure of Goldtrail Holidays you are protected through the ATOL protection scheme. You will need to complete a claim form which we will post out to you shortly together with a stamped addressed envelope. There are certain sections of these forms which Airborn Direct are required to complete before a claim will be considered. We will forward the claim on your behalf to the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) for scrutiny under the ATOL protection scheme. ATOL will arrange for the return of your monies.

Some useful information :

• You will need to book new flights with Airborn Direct as soon as possible as demand is very high at this time of year
  
• If you wish to book new flights we will do all we can to source new flights for you at the most competitive prices. Original monies paid for your flights will be returned separately via the CAA in due course. It can take several months for this to take place depending on the number of claims
  
• Please be assured that Airborn Direct will do all we can to assist our customers during this difficult time

For Passengers already in resort!

If your Tour operator was GoldTrail Holidays then the Civil Aviation Authority's ATOL scheme covers you and you will be flown home without needing to pay any money. If you have a local number to call on your ticket please ensure that you call so as to ensure that the flight times have not changed. If your ticket has no local number then it would be sensible to check with the airport directly to confirm flight times. Please also check the ATOL website for the latest information www.caa.co.uk.

The CAA expect most flights to take place as planned. Please ensure that you retain all receipts for any additional expenses that you incur directly as a result of this failure as you will be able to reclaim these under the ATOL scheme. You will need to complete a claim form and send it to Airborn Direct as outlined above above.

Once the news broke of the demise of Goldtrail we already accessed a list of all affected customers due to the contingency plans in place at our offices . We are working around the clock to phone you to ensure that there is as little disruption to your holiday plans by finding alternative holidays or flights and will assist you with your refund claims for cancelled flights. In many cases previously Airborn's experienced sales consultants made alternative bookings, providing a level of service that simply cannot be offered by the internet or high street travel agencies. In many instances we have also been able to help customers who booked over the internet or with smaller businesses and were left bewildered by automatic emails giving a complicated list of instructions rather than real advice and support. 

Along with the great personal service to each of our customers, everyone who books with Airborn Direct also has complete peace of mind that their money is safe due our company's ATOL and ABTA licensing and bonding arrangements and our IATA accreditation. Those people whose flights were not booked through an ATOL operator like ourselves have had to pay again for their flights - that is if they could have found a seat.
