Book a cheap weekend to Lanzarote >>>>>

Formed almost entirely of volcanic lava, Lanzarote has evolved into one of the most scenic of the Canary Island's. The island's dramatic landscape, long stretches of fine black sands and warm climate combine to create the perfect location for a beach break.

General information:

With something for everyone you can be close to the bright lights but away from the bustle in Puerto del Carmen the largest resort. The Old town area offers beach front restaurants serving fresh fish, and the holiday area offers numerous restaurants, shops, bright lights and superb night-life.

Playa Blanca was originally a fishing village and now has a modern port. There are 2 beaches with white sand in the resort offering a range of water sports and facilities. The golden sands are popular for families and the gently sloping sea entry into placid waters is safe for children. This quiet unspoilt resort has been sympathetically developed so that the centre of the town has retained much of its original fishing village charm. In addition, the Papagayo beaches, which are some of the most beautiful in the Canaries, are only a few minutes drive away.

Playa de Matagorda is within 5 minutes of the busier resort of Puerto del Carmen, yet offers a relaxing break. Enjoy long beaches and a choice of restaurants, bars and shops along the promenade which links it to Los Pocillos. This area is also good for windsurfing beginners.

The long sheltered beach with placid waters attracts many to the resort of Costa Teguise which is very popular with families. The beach is also ideal for windsurfing.
