Our opinion:
The Para￭so Club apartments are perched on the hillside in Playa del Cura, affording spectacular sea views. These apartments are a great budget option for a peaceful and relaxing stay, away from the hustle and bustle of the bigger resorts. Very popular with both adults and families all year round, this complex consists of apartments with whitewashed exteriors and simple, clean and comfortable interiors. The Paraiso Club boasts a large pool area with a freeform pool, children's pool, plenty of space for tanning yourself. Other facilities include a pool bar, kids club (in high season), and children's play area.

This pleasant, family-run complex is ideal for both active holiday makers and those looking for a more relaxing time. The complex boasts two large swimming pools (one heated), large sun terraces, and a wealth of entertainment including sports activities (tennis, volleyball, mini basketball, shuffleboard), day and night entertaiment and evening shows. Set in attractive gardens in a peaceful area of Maspalomas it is only 2km from the beach and famous sand dunes and if you're looking for excitement the bustling resort of Playa del Ingles in only 1km away. Club Maspalomas 1 offers clean and comfortable accommodation in a relaxing location and with all the facilities on site you can just relax and enjoy the famous Canarian weather.

The Liberty apartments enjoy a fabulous location in central Playa del Ingles, just a short walk to the Yumbo shopping centre and the hectic nightspots of the Kasbah. They're a huge hit with younger crowds in the summer and in winter there is a more relaxed atmosphere. These simple, clean apartments boast a large L-shaped pool and plenty of sun terraces. Other facilities include a pool bar, mini-market tennis court and a great disco pub below.

The simple, clean Omar apartments have recently undergone a facelift. They are located on a hillside in Puerto Rico, within walking distance to the main shopping centre, where you'll find many bars and restaurants. Very popular with young adults all year round, this complex consists of clean, simple apartments with good sized terrace balconies. Omar has a small pool area with a freeform pool with sundeck and small children's pool. Other facilities include a lively poolside snack bar, a safe and internet access in reception.

The Santa Fe 1 apartments are well located in 'downtown' Playa del Ingles, within walking distance of many bars, restaurants and several shopping centres. A huge hit with families all year round, this complex consists of small, Canarian-style bungalows set in pleasant greenery and gardens. Santa Fe boasts a pleasant pool area with two large freeform pools, two kid's pools and plenty of gardens and terraces for perfecting that tan! Other facilities include a pool bar, games and pool tables.

The Strelitzias apartments are in an unrivalled location in the heart of Playa del Ingles yet just moments from the beach. They also are a very short stroll to the hectic nightspots of the Kasbah and just a short walk to the Yumbo shopping centre. A huge hit with younger crowds in the summer, the Strelitzias takes on a more relaxed atmosphere during the winter months. These apartments have recently been renovated and are simple, clean and boast a large pool with plenty of space for tanning!

The extremely popular Arizona apartments enjoy an enviable position, set on a hillside just 300m the main shopping centre of Puerto Rico, where you'll find many bars and restaurants, and just 500m from the beach. Very popular with both adults and families all year round, this complex consists of duplex bungalow-style apartments set into the hillside, clad with plants and greenery. The Arizona has a pleasant pool area with a kidney-shaped pool with sundeck and small children's splash pool. Other facilities include a poolside snack bar, a safe and internet access in reception.

The Las Gondolas apartments enjoy a fabulous location just 50m from the beach in Playa del Ingles, and within easy walking distance of many bars, restaurants and the Yumbo shopping centre. These apartments are very popular with adults in the summer months are great for families in winter time. Las Gondolas boasts a small, pleasant pool area with a freeform pool and plenty of space for bronzing yourself! There is also a pool table area and an enormous, if a little sparse, rooftop sundeck.

Very popular with both adults and families all year round, this complex consists of whitewashed duplex bungalow-style apartments set into the hillside. Monaco has a pool area with a heated kidney-shaped pool with sundeck and small children's pool. Other facilities include a poolside snack bar, mini-market, a separate sundeck, and a courtesy room for late departures.

The popular Sun Club apartments are located on the tranquil black sand beach of Playa del Aguila, within walking distance (1km) of the San Agustin's many lively bars, restaurants and shopping centre yet far enough to enjoy peace and quiet. Very popular with both adults and families all year round, this complex consists of pretty bungalow-style apartments set in pleasant gardens The Sun Club boasts a large pool area with a freeform pool, children's pool, plenty of space for bronzing yourself and has direct access to the beach! Other facilities include a satellite TV and games room, pool bar, laundry service and pool table area. The only decision to make is whether you choose Self-catering, Half Board or an All Inclusive programme!

Set in the peaceful Campo Internacional area of Maspalomas, yet only 2km from the beach and 500m from the nearest golf course, the Jardin Dorado offers clean, comfortable accommodation in well designed, attractive bungalows. The complex boasts a large swimming pool (part of which is heated in winter) a jacuzzi, plenty of sunbeds and a small children's play area. Other facilities include a mini-market, a restaurant, two bars and regular evening entertainment. There is even a new gym chalet for the fitness fanatics.

A new, luxury hotel that is a resort in itself 500m to Meloneras Beach and 2.5km to the resort of Maspalomas. Bedrooms are well-equipped and decorated in bright, sunny colours with tiled floors and terrace. There are various sunbathing terraces and swimming pools, two with waterfall features, also, tennis courts and a games area. The selection of restaurants offer buffet, a la carte and show cooking and the choice of bars includes a piano bar and poolside bar. The Wellness health and beauty centre boasts an extensive range of treatments, gym, sauna and indoor pool.

The hotel was completely redesigned by Alberto Pinto and when it reopened in October 2002 became the first design hotel on the island. It is modern 70's retro in style and enjoys an enviable position on the edge of the extensive Maspalomas sand dunes. The exotic gardens feature fresh and salt water pools and there is plenty of space on the terrace to relax and unwind. The bedrooms are all exquisitely designed with high quality furnishings and facilities and have pool, garden or sea views
