Our opinion:
Good value budget option in the Sirkeci district within easy walking distance of the city's main tourist attractions. Bedrooms are decorated in a simple style and although the decor is somewhat dated, they are kept in a good condition. The hotel has a quaint restaurant decorated in the style of an Ottoman house and in the summer months there is also a rooftop restaurant where guests can enjoy impressive views of the city.

Situated in Sultanhamet within easy walking distance of the major tourist sites, this ancient townhouse has been tastefully restored and converted into a charming boutique hotel. Fresh looking bedrooms decorated in whites and creams with wooden floors and colourful rugs are simply yet stylishly furnished. Although rather compact, the bathrooms are spotlessly clean with pleasant decor. The cosy lounge area adjacent to the hotel bar is perfect for relaxing after a long day, as is the small rooftop terrace with its panoramic city views. Family run, the hotel's homely ambience encourages long stay and repeat visitors. In the past, these have included aspiring artists, who on departing have made gifts of their works which the hotel proudly displays.

Our opinion:
Located in Sirkeci, the historical part of the city, this hotel is just a short walk from the major tourist sights. As its name suggests, the hotel is themed on the Orient Express train which used to finish its European journey in Istanbul. The hotel bar is even decorated in the style of one of the train carriages. Bedrooms are decorated in light colours with coordinating floral bedspreads and curtains. In the summer months guests can enjoy panoramic views of the city from the terrace restaurant on the roof.

Our opinion:
Stylish, property situated approximately 5 minutes walk from Taxim Square. Spacious chic bedrooms with soft beige decor, contrasting dark wood, white linen and contemporary furniture provide a welcoming and relaxing haven for guests. Large marble bathrooms all have separate bath and shower with wooden shutters which can open onto the bedrooms. The hotel has a variety of dining and drinking options and for the health conscious there is a good sized gym, a floodlit tennis court (charge payable locally) and an outdoor pool which is open in the summer.
