Our opinion: A lovely little hotel, situated in a superb location on the Place St. Augustin, only a short walk from the Madeleine and concorde, and the fashionable shopping area of the Rue du Faubourg St. Honore. The reception is homely and decorated in a very Parisian style. Downstairs cellar breakfast room is cosy with traditional wall paintings. The rooms are comfortably decorated, however, some are a little small. Suitehotel (Charles de Gaulle Airport)
Our opinion: Brand new modern hotel located near Charles de Gaulle/Roissy airport and offering a new approach to hospitality. The lobby is bright and welcoming with light colours, using contemporary material and furniture. There is a friendly bar, an internet corner, a small fitness centre but the novelty is the "self service shop" where guests can buy food and refreshments throughout the day without having to worry or feeling uncomfortable about taking it to their room (note that there is only a "coffee/croissant" formula included in the room rate with a possibility for guests to purchase a more substantial breakfast in the self service shop). The bedrooms, which are called "suite", are very spacious and adapted for the comfort. They are well appointed and equipped with kitchenette and tea/coffee making facilities. It is also possible to separate the "living area" with the "sleeping area" with a sliding partition. The hotel is located in Roissy Ville, 3 km from the airport and offers a free shuttle service to and from the airport (Terminal 1,2, train station and ReR) from 05.30 to 00.30). A highly recommended hotel!

De L'Elysee
Our opinion: Traditional boutique hotel, very authentic and Parisian in its decor and atmosphere. It benefits from a great location, behind the Elysee Palace and walking distance to the Place de la Concorde and Madeleine. And once inside, you do feel like you really are in Paris! The owners have used antiques and traditional furniture in the lobby and the bedrooms. The rooms are quite compact, all decorated in a different individual way but all with the same cosy and romantic feel. However, if you don't like flowers pattern, draperies, tapestries on the wall and chandeliers, this is not the hotel for you!

Our opinion: Small intimate hotel, priding itself in its warm welcome and individual service. The hotel offers personal touches like baking the croissants themselves, offering bath robes and a turn down service. The hotel also offers room service in partnership with a good restaurant nearby. The decor is very Parisian with traditional French wall paper in blue, cream or pink in the bedrooms, all refurbished in 2003. The 28 rooms can be compact but are comfortable and welcoming. The area is lively and friendly, with Montmartre and the Opera only a short stroll away. A very typical Parisian hotel with an extra touch!

The overall feel of the hotel is very soothing, with a priority given to earth colours, beige, brown and white. This includes a spacious reception area, breakfast room and bar/bistro. The atmosphere is relaxing, and this also applies to the modern bedrooms. They are elegant with a minimalist design, yet welcoming and comfortable.
